Šubířov: Apartments and Holiday Homes

The history of Šubířov began in a cleared area in a mountainous, forested part of the estate. Even today, named natural and cultural sites shape the character of the municipality. Šubířov railway station is integrated into the public transport system and is located on line 017 Česká Třebová–Dzbel.

Nature

Near Šubířov lies the “private reserve” of Bělá, a complex of wet and dry meadows with remarkable plant diversity and rare animals. From Šubířov railway stop, the reserve can be reached via a yellow-marked hiking trail and the Kladecko educational trail.

The Kladecko educational trail begins at Šubířov railway stop and ends in the municipality of Jesenec. It is 8 km long, has 12 stations, and is accessible on foot and by bicycle. A considerable part of its route follows the historic “Napoleonic Road”.

Kladecko Nature Park contains dense forests with a partly relatively natural composition of tree species; the streams Nectava, Romže and Věžnice flow through the park. The U nádrže natural monument in the Kladecko area comprises wetlands with species-rich flowering flora and serves as a habitat for amphibians.

Culture and History

In the nearby settlement of Chobyně, approximately 2 km north of Šubířov, a wooden bell tower from 1931 is the most important local monument.

The Church of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows in Šubířov is a Baroque village church dating from 1714 and was added to the state register of cultural monuments in 1973. Every year, a pilgrimage takes place at the church in Šubířov on 15 September, the feast of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows.
