Smilovice U Třince: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A prominent landscape feature of Smilovice lies to the southwest: the southwestern part of the cadastral area of Smilovice extends into the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Beskydy).

Nature

Within the municipality of Smilovice, the Beskydy Site of Community Importance under European protection (EVL Beskydy, CZ0724089) covers the same 222.1 hectares as the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Beskydy). Swimming in nature is also possible at the Ropičanka.

Activities

Sportcentrum Smilovice has two grass pitches, tennis courts and a multipurpose hall. Bikecentrum Smilovice includes a natural pump track. The construction of a jump line in the grounds of Sportcentrum Smilovice has also been proposed for Bikecentrum Smilovice; the construction of a skill zone in the grounds of Sportcentrum Smilovice has also been proposed.

Cycle Route No. 56 runs from Smilovice to Bukovec. A marked blue route from Střítež railway station towards Guty forms the initial section of the traditional Mánesova Trail.

Culture

Karmel is a spiritual and educational centre in Smilovice. Services are held at the Karmel Centre in Smilovice at 9:00 a.m. on the fourth Sunday of every month. A gathering is held at Karmel in Smilovice at 3:00 p.m.

House No. 77 in Smilovice is considered the birthplace of Jerzy Buzek and bears a commemorative plaque. The Smilovice war memorial is a war grave without human remains relating to events of the First World War.
