Vojkovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Vojkovice lies in a valley at the confluence of the Lučina, Holčina and Račok streams. During a guided tour of the Pivovar Koníček brewery, the entire brewing process is explained, from the brewhouse through fermentation and the lagering cellars to bottling; the tour also includes an agricultural museum.

Culture and History

Vojkovice was established around the year 1500. The Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was completed and consecrated in 1890. A statue of Saint Francis of Assisi in Vojkovice is listed in the state register of cultural monuments and was restored in 2014.

Routes and Landscape

Cycle Route 6005 runs through Vojkovice and forms a circular route via Frýdek-Místek, Žermanice, Domaslavice, Nošovice and Raškovice.

The “Vojkovické toulky” hiking trail in Vojkovice is easy and 5.5 km long. It alternates between footpaths, paved roads, forest paths and gravel paths, and includes three short, steep climbs. The Výletiště at the end of the “Vojkovické toulky” route offers opportunities for active and passive recreation.

The single-track railway line 322 between Frýdek-Místek and Český Těšín runs through Vojkovice. Dobratice pod Prašivou railway station is located in the area of Vojkovice, approximately 1.9 km from the village centre.

Culinary Delights and Brewing Culture

The herbal liqueur “Vojkovická hořká” was produced in Vojkovice from medicinal herbs from the foothills of the Beskids and distilled there until 1952. Šalanda is open at weekends as a brewery restaurant accessible to the public. The “Koníčkův den” beer festival takes place every year in June.
