Raškovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Raškovice lies in the valleys of the Morávka and Mohelnice rivers and is surrounded by the mountains of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids.

Culture and history

The first written mention of Raškovice dates back to 1261. Traditional agriculture and weaving were part of the village’s historical livelihood. The Památník Raškovice offers a permanent ethnographic exhibition year-round, as well as further exhibitions and programmes dedicated to reviving old customs and activities.

The Chapel of Our Lady at the château is located in the centre of Raškovice near the former château and was probably built around the middle of the 19th century.

Landscape and surroundings

Mount Kyčera is located in the immediate surroundings of Raškovice. The mountains Kykulka, Ropička and Travný are located in the vicinity of Raškovice. In the wider regional area lies Kończyce Małe - Zamek XV w., a castle.

Sacred trails

The central route to the small sacred monuments runs for approximately 2 km from the “U Vepřeků” niche chapel to the “Adámková kaple” chapel.

The southern route to the small sacred monuments runs for approximately 3 to 4 km between Foldynův kříž and Heřmanův kříž. It leads from Šebestova kříže “Na Suché” along the old “Krásenské ceště” towards Husinec and includes a fairly steep climb.

The western route to the small sacred monuments runs for 3 to 4 km from the wayside shrine “U Durčáka” to Muroňova kaple on the border with the neighbouring municipality of Skalice. From Raškovice, six routes also lead to the wooden Church of Saint Anthony of Padua on Prašivá; the shortest is 5.5 km long.
