Vyšní Lhoty: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A wooden church stands on Prašivá. Built in 1640, it is a national cultural monument.

Culture

The historic wooden Prašivá mountain chalet dates back to 1921 and is located at an altitude of 706 metres above sea level. A historic observation tower is integrated into the mountain chalet.

The wooden church on Prašivá is open to the public during the pilgrimage on the first Sunday after 13 June, as well as during several other Masses.

The Kamenité natural amphitheatre is open to the general public and hosts cultural and social events.

Nature

The Skalická Morávka National Nature Monument also includes the cadastral territory of Vyšní Lhoty and protects a natural, dynamic, braided gravel section of the Morávka River. The protected area includes gravel bars and riparian ecosystems that are home to rare or endangered plant and animal species.

The weir near Vyšní Lhoty divides the Morávka into a natural river channel and a water supply canal and is considered a technical rarity.

The Kršle Nature Reserve lies in the cadastral territory of Vyšní Lhoty, covers 35.9007 hectares and extends across elevations from 410 to 700 metres. The Skalická Morávka site is freely accessible and can be reached by car within 250 metres.

Trails and Activities

Running and cycling routes start and end at the Prašivá mountain chalet. The Prašivá educational trail has 26 information panels and two panoramic viewpoints and passes through 11 municipalities. One of the listed starting routes of the Prašivá educational trail is the Morávka–Pražmo–Vyšní Lhoty–Prašivá route.

Cycle Route 6174 leads from Prašivá via Vyšní Lhoty to Žermanice and Záguří. An official paragliding take-off and landing site with operating regulations is designated on Prašivá.
