Malenovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lysá hora is located in the cadastral area of the municipality of Malenovice and, at 1,323 m, is the highest peak in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids and the Těšín region. Malenovice is a starting point for the ascent to Lysá hora.

Nature and Mountains

The Malenovický kotel Nature Reserve encompasses the valley of the Satina stream as well as the adjacent western and northern slopes of Lysá hora and Malchor. The section of the Satina waterfalls that is particularly attractive to visitors is about 1 km long and is, in places, shaped like a gorge approximately 15 m deep, with several waterfalls.

The Lysá hora educational trail comprises 15 stations providing information about municipalities, mountain accidents, caves, predators, Wallachians, lumberjacks and mountain forests.

Trails and Rock Formations

Ondrášova skála is a large sandstone block associated with the local tradition that Ondráš was elected leader of his followers there. The rock lies on a yellow-marked hiking trail from Malenovice to Lysá hora.

Ondrášovy díry form a 250 m long system of fissure passages and domes reaching depths of up to 30 m. Ondrášovy díry are inaccessible because of the risk of falling rocks and rock debris.

The paid Na Konečné car park costs CZK 70 for a full day and is a starting point for trips to Lysá hora or the Satina waterfalls.

Culture and Winter Sports

Ivančena is a traditional pilgrimage and meeting place. Pilgrimages to Ivančena continue to this day; on the Saturday around 24 April, scouts from across the Czech Republic gather there, while Tramps meet there on Sunday.

The Ski Malenovice “Na Staškově” ski and tourism area is located at the foot of Lysá hora in Malenovice. It has a large anchor tow lift, a button lift and a children’s rope lift, which are suitable for teaching children and beginners to ski and snowboard.

Cycling

The Frýdlant n. O.–Malenovice tour is suitable for families with children, e-bikes and bicycles with trailers.
