In Horní Lhota, winter facilities, a nature trail and a clearly designated cycle route come together. The Vaňkův kopec ski resort operates its own ski school, ski rental service and ski service. It also has six drag lifts, including three children's lifts. The information presents the ski resort as a place with several clearly distinct areas: learning, rental, service and lift operations are all combined here.
Nature
Next to the ski resort is a 600-metre-long educational bee trail. Its facilities are diverse and specifically described: the trail includes 14 information boards, a dendrophone, a log hive, a barefoot path, an insect house and a fire pit. The educational bee trail operates from April to October each year. Thus, alongside the winter-oriented ski resort, there is a seasonal facility devoted to bees, trees, insects and direct experiences of nature. Information boards and special stations such as the dendrophone and log hive give the trail an equally distinctive and varied range of facilities.
Cycle Routes
Cycling in Horní Lhota is also connected with a specific route. Cycle Route 6199 runs through the village. Cycle Route 6199 is 24.3 kilometres long and connects Nové Sedlice and Klimkovice. Thus, both its route through Horní Lhota and its two named connection points, as well as its exact length, are documented. The route forms an independent geographical reference within the village and complements the classification based on the ski resort and educational bee trail with a linear connection between several places.
Landscape
Several named elevations complete the geographical picture around Horní Lhota. Vinná hora is a mountain in the vicinity of Horní Lhota. Přílet, also classified as a mountain, is likewise located in the vicinity of Horní Lhota. The surrounding area also contains two hills: Dubské [Kyjovice ve Slezsku] is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Horní Lhota, as is Šibenice [Velká Polom]. The four names represent different landscape features while preserving the precise distinction between mountains and hills and between the vicinity and the immediate vicinity.
Culture
The chapel in Horní Lhota is part of the village's history. It was built and registered on 15 September 1845. In 2009, the chapel was repaired and reconsecrated. Thus, for this building there is both a precisely dated construction and registration event and a later repair followed by reconsecration. The chapel complements the nature- and sport-related sites with a single building that is precisely situated in time.
A fifth edition of a motorcycle competition was announced for the Hornolhotský okruh.
