Libel lies in the foothills of the Orlické hory Mountains.

Nature

The Rybník Dubenec pond is located within the territory of Libel. Fishing competitions are regularly held there. During the fishing competition dates listed for 2026, Rybník Dubenec was closed to the public.

Trails and Orchards

The Ovocná stezka is an educational trail just under 6 km long, leading from Rychnovská Lhotka via Synkov-Slemeno to Libel. Along the Ovocná stezka, there are nine information boards about work in the orchards during the four seasons.

The Ovocná stezka can be explored on foot or by bicycle through the orchards and offers rest areas as well as viewing pavilions.

Culture

At the southern edge of Libel stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk on the former road to Častolovice. It was made in 1813 at the expense of Vojtěch Mikys.

Libel is home to three smaller religious monuments of local significance. A football tournament is one of the local community events in Libel. Easter egg decorating was regularly held in Libel on the Saturday before Easter.
