Culture and History

Solnice's townscape features the Baroque Church of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist, the Marian Column in the square in front of the town hall, and the town hall itself. The Baroque Church of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist in Solnice was built between 1681 and 1686. The Marian Column in the square in front of the town hall in Solnice dates from 1714. Solnice Town Hall is an Empire-style building dating from 1829–1835.

“Zámeček” was built as a fortress by Benjamín z Vlknova in 1558; its external appearance has largely been preserved. The Neo-Renaissance cemetery church of the Most Sacred Heart of the Lord in Solnice was built in 1903–1904 by F. Lorenc from Žamberk. Due to its poor structural condition, it is currently not open to the public. The Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows stands along the road towards Častolovice.

Hiking and Cycling

In 2026, the Solnická solná stezka offered new hiking and cycling routes; the start and presentation took place in 2026 in Solnice at the Společenský dům between 7:00 and 9:30 a.m.

The Solnice–Rychnov nad Kněžnou cycle path runs entirely away from the main road. It is suitable for bicycles, roller skates, and bicycle trailers.
