Ohnišov lies in a basin-shaped valley at the confluence of three streams. A marked hiking trail runs through the village, and a marked cycling route also passes through Ohnišov. There are two viewpoints in the area of Ohnišov.

Hiking and Cycling

The traditional “Cikánské toulky” is a hiking event held regularly in Ohnišov, taking place every year without interruption on the last Saturday in April since 1975. The “Cikánské toulky” offers participants several hiking or cycling routes in the surroundings of Ohnišov.

Buildings and Sightseeing

The Church of St. Cyril and Methodius was built by local residents themselves and consecrated on the last Sunday in October 1895. Its opening for visitors can be arranged.

The Masaryk School building was constructed in 1934 and is one of the two dominant buildings in Ohnišov.

Location

Ohnišov is located at the intersection of the roads from Dobruška to Nový Hrádek and from Nové Město nad Metují to Deštné in the Orlické hory.
