Dobré: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Dobré combines evidence of the rural character of the village with religious buildings and mountains in the surrounding area. Today’s Church of St. Peter and Paul stands on the site of a wooden church dating from the early 14th century. Its tower has five bells. The church complex is located on Dobré’s central municipal square; the rectory is to the north, the cemetery to the west, and a park-like open space to the east.

Culture and village character

Dobré is home to buildings of folk architecture classified as valuable. These include predominantly log or half-timbered houses as well as farmsteads that have largely retained their original character.

Religious sites include a Calvary ensemble dating from 1799 in Hlinné, located in an enclosed green area next to the road from Hlinné to Svinná; a wayside niche chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes with a statue of the Virgin Mary beneath trees north of the road from Chmeliště to Stará Náves; and a Calvary ensemble on Šediviny, enclosed by a wire fence at the edge of the forest beside the path to house number 16.

A stone Calvary ensemble dating from 1872 is located in an enclosed garden by house number 39.

The mountains Sedloňovský vrch, Velká Deštná, Malá Deštná and Orlica are located in the vicinity of Dobré.
