Bartosovice V Orlickych Horach: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Divoká Orlice forms the Czech-Polish border at Bartošovice v Orlických horách. Along the Zemská brána educational trail, the natural environment, border location, and cultural and technical attractions combine to create a distinctive local landscape.

Nature on the Border

The Zemská brána educational trail begins at the stone bridge in Bartošovice v Orlických horách. The 5.2-kilometre route can be walked in either direction and leads through the Zemská brána Nature Reserve. Along the way, it offers impressions of the local nature as well as several cultural and technical attractions. The trail has 22 information panels, which are installed only during the summer season from May to October.

Churches and Pilgrimage

Neratov has been an important pilgrimage site since the second half of the 17th century. The church Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie received its characteristic glass roof there in 2007. In Bartošovice, the Baroque Church of St. Mary Magdalene was built between 1731 and 1746. It features extraordinary late-Baroque furnishings, which is why its interior is called “Duše baroka” (“Soul of the Baroque”).

Fortification History

The “Lehký objekt vz. 37 (řopík)” is located near Panské Pole in Bartošovice v Orlických horách. It is a light fortification that can be entered. The structure has been renovated, including its complete internal armament and equipment. The Pěchotní srub Nízká R-S 72 was one of the structures built in the 1930s as part of the heavy fortifications for defence against Nazi Germany and now serves as a small military museum.

Winter Sports

The Nella ski area has a snow park with obstacles and jumps for snowboarders.
