Uhřínovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Uhřínovice, on the Na Tvrzi hill above the settlement, stands a late Gothic fortress – the only surviving fortress in the entire district. The stone building has two floors and measures 12 × 18 metres. The fortress, located at house no. 1, is protected as an immovable cultural monument under registration number 25416/6-2463. It is listed as preserved and freely accessible.

Culture

In the cadastral area of Uhřínovice u Voděrad, the Chapel of St John of Nepomuk is listed as a site of heritage interest. The Calvary in Uhřínovice u Voděrad has the same designation. The Calvary monument in Uhřínovice was erected in 1901 at the expense of local residents. Traces of the fortress moat are also visible on Na Tvrzi hill.

History

Uhřínovice was first mentioned in 1387. The fortress was built in the mid-16th century by Mikuláš z Ledské or his son Jan and was first mentioned in 1593. After 1694, it ceased to serve as a noble residence and was converted into a granary.

KČT cycling route 4351 runs through Uhřínovice u Voděrad for 2.1 kilometres of its total length of 14.4 kilometres. The route follows Class II and Class III roads, unclassified roads, and a short unpaved section.

The 17.5-kilometre hiking trail 97 leads from Solnice via Byzhradec, Uhřínovice, Lično, Černíkovický rybník and Černíkovice back to Solnice.
