In the cadastral area of Slemeno lies the Bratrská borovice, a memorial site associated with gatherings of the Bohemian Brethren. According to local tradition, Jan Amos Comenius said farewell there before going into exile. Today, only a fragment of an old pine tree remains; according to local tradition, it is said to have been up to five centuries old.
Culture
The Chapel of St. Joseph in Slemeno was consecrated in 1885 and is designated as a building of architectural value. The Synkov railway halt was established in 1919, and the Slemeno railway halt in 1936.
Trails
The Orchard Trail runs from Rychnovská Lhotka via Synkov-Slemeno to Libel and is almost 6 km long. Along the route are nine information panels providing information about work in the orchards during the four seasons.
