Záměl: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Záměl can be explored via specific trails, natural areas and local heritage sites. The Planetární stezka was established in 2011. It leads from an inn on the outskirts of Záměl via the Panna Marie Bolestná forest spring to Potštejn and onward along an asphalt road to the Nad Merklovicemi crossroads. The route is approximately six kilometres long.

Nature and Gardens

The Zámělský borek nature reserve is located near Záměl. It comprises thermophilous grasslands and forest edges with several rare plant and animal species.

The Zahrada Dobromysl garden is also part of the area's natural attractions; it received a nature garden certificate in 2020. The public also took part in its garden therapy programmes, lectures and workshops.

Culture and Local History

The former Hostinec u Karla IV. inn is Záměl's only cultural monument. At the Hostinec u Karla IV., the entrance gate and the thatched roof were repaired. The main room contains an original bread oven.

The Lípa vorařů linden tree is connected with the construction of rafts in its surroundings and their transport along the Orlice and Labe rivers as far as Hamburg.

The Kostelík sv. Marka chapel stands on Marek Hill. A figure of Hastrmanka Manka is located at a spring below the hill.

Traditions and Springs

The Putování ke Studánkám tradition was revived in Záměl from 2003 onwards. It takes place on 1 May as a group walk to the local springs.

Transport

Záměl railway station is integrated into the regional IREDO transport system. There is no ticket office at the station; passenger tickets are sold on the train.
