Králova Lhota: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

A prominent landmark in the surrounding landscape is the Church of St. Sigmund in Králova Lhota. It acquired its present form in 1771. The church’s folding altar, acquired in 1664, is considered the most recent surviving panel painting in the form of an altarpiece in the region.

Culture

A war memorial was unveiled in Králova Lhota in 1926. It bears a granite plaque with the names of 27 men who fell, died, or went missing in the First World War, as well as the name of Jaroslav Daška, who was tortured to death during the Second World War.

History

Králova Lhota was founded before 1346 by settlers from Upper Saxony. The first written record of the village dates from 1356, in connection with Hynek of Dubá’s right of patronage over the local church.
