Lično lies in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains and combines a distinctive local history with paths through nature and an events calendar spread throughout the year. Historical landmarks and specific routes can be found directly in the village and its immediate surroundings.

Landscape and Trails

The picturesque countryside around Lično invites visitors to go for walks. The orange walking route leads through “Pekelice”, is measured from the Sokolovna in Lično, and is 4.8 km long. Cyclists will also find a clearly marked connection: Cycle Route 4167 passes through Lično, runs from Třebešov to Očelice, and is 18 km long.

Church and Local History

The Church of the Annunciation is the parish church of Lično, is open to visitors, and, together with part of its retaining wall, is protected as a cultural monument. It was probably built in the second half of the 14th century in the Gothic style, remodelled in the Late Gothic style in 1594, and extensively redesigned in the Baroque style between 1777 and 1780.

Mariánský dvůr is considered the original centre of Lično. A wooden fortress originally stood there and was converted into a stone manor residence in the first half of the 17th century.

Events Throughout the Year

In February, Lično hosts the Masopustní průvod, the Velikonoční pochod takes place at Easter, and the Ličenské kolečko is held in May. Noc kostelů follows in June, Posvícení in August, and an Adventní koncert in December.

Ličenské kácení máje is a recurring public spring event in Lično. At the 2024 event, there was a bonfire, grilled sausages, refreshments, a raffle for a maypole crown, and a children's programme. Ličenský Braňáček is a recurring local competition in Lično; the 2024 event took place at the sports complex.
