Panske Pole: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Opevnění Rokytnicka educational trail leads to structures of the Czechoslovak fortifications built on the ridges of the Orlické Mountains from 1936 to 1938. It includes fourteen information panels and runs along the red hiking trail markers between Panské Pole and Anenský vrch.

Fortifications and History

The Hanička artillery fortress was built from 1936 to 1938 as part of the Czechoslovak border defence system. In the cadastral area of Panské Pole is structure R-S-74, an infantry block of the heavy fortifications, which is listed as a cultural monument. During a tour of Hanička Fortress, visitors see the museum and pass through underground corridors beneath the individual fortress structures.

Hiking Trails

The section of the Jirásek Mountain Trail from Mezivrší via Panské Pole (Hanička) to Rokytnice is 12 km long. It is also possible to join the Jirásek Mountain Trail in Panské Pole.

Hanička Museum is best reached via the red hiking trail along the ridge of the Orlické Mountains. Above the Panské Pole–Hanička settlement, a branch trail leads directly from this route to the museum grounds.

Views and Landscape

The ANNA lookout tower stands on Anenský vrch at an elevation of 991 m above sea level and is almost 17 m high. It offers views in all directions and is freely accessible. The access route from the overflow car park to Hanička Fortress follows the red hiking trail towards Anenský vrch through the Orlické hory Protected Landscape Area.
