České Meziříčí: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

České Meziříčí combines a location on the Dědina with prominent evidence of its local and cultural history. Particularly notable is the present-day Church of St. Catherine: it stands approximately in the centre of České Meziříčí along the road and is visible from afar.

Culture

The parish Church of St. Catherine was built between 1748 and 1752. The foundation stone was laid on 8 September 1748, and the new building was consecrated on 25 November 1752. Inside, the church has Baroque furnishings, including the main altar, pulpit and inventory, which were made at the same time as the building.

Another significant testimony is Hrnčířův mlýn. The mill was first mentioned in 1598 in the land register of the Opočno estate and has been protected as a cultural monument since 2 May 2019. It retains almost completely preserved, industrially manufactured mill technology from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

History

Králův Les forms part of the area's older settlement history. The settlement was founded by Saxon colonists and first mentioned in 1300. It was established at the end of the 13th century at a ford on a branch of the important Kłodzko-Polish country road.

Water and Routes

České Meziříčí lies on the Dědina. The Zlatý potok flows into this river from the direction of Opočno. The connection with the surrounding area is also visible in the network of routes: a cycle path connects Rohenice with České Meziříčí.

The traditional Selská jízda 2026 will take place in the municipality of České Meziříčí.
