Culture and History

The castle complex in Jeřice developed through a complex transformation from a Gothic fortress on the outskirts of the settlement. The castle burned down in 1886 and was restored in the same year.

The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk was moved from a nearby bridge to its current location. It stood on the bridge until the 1970s.

The complex of the Gothic village Church of Saint Mary Magdalene has a Late Baroque gate bell tower. The Church of Saint Mary Magdalene in Jeřice is listed as a cultural monument and includes a bell tower.

Water and Landscape

Jeřice lies in the valley of the Bystřice River. The cadastral area of Jeřice also contains the Bystřice River, a millrace and two ponds.

Things to Do

The marked cycle route 4140 runs from Třebnouševes via road III/32522 to Jeřice and is secured in the area as an existing marked cycle route. There is a rest area on a cycle path in Jeřice.

Show jumping is the main activity at Jezdecký klub Jeřice; dressage also takes place there occasionally.
