Prachov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Prachov Rocks form a classic sandstone area with climbing routes of all difficulty levels. Among the rock towers are several towers up to 40 m high, and the Prachov Rocks feature well-maintained, signposted circular hiking trails.

Nature

The scenic circular trails in the Prachov Rocks are located in Zone I of the Český ráj Protected Landscape Area.

The garden of the Muzeum přírody Český ráj is a small botanical garden with trees, shrubs and herbs from Český ráj, as well as habitats for wild animals, enclosures and outdoor terrariums.

Culture

The Císařská chodba is a gorge in the Prachov Rocks. It was named in honour of Emperor Francis I, who passed through it during his visit on 9 June 1813.

The Muzeum přírody Český ráj organises the Žabí běh every year.

Trails

The Pelíškova dětská naučná stezka is approximately 1 km long and takes about 90 minutes. It is also suitable for pushchairs.

From the car park in the municipality of Prachov, access to the Prachov Rocks leads along the path to the ticket office; the blue-marked pushchair route begins there.

Getting There

The Prachov Rocks are easily accessible by car or bus. The central car park is located by the Turistická chata, directly at the entrance to the rocks.

Events

The Maraton Českým rájem is a recurring running event. The 2026 edition is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. on 9 August at the Lepařův památník and finish at the Muzeum přírody Český ráj in Prachov.
