Zbečno: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Hamousův Farmstead in Zbečno is one of the oldest publicly accessible monuments of vernacular architecture in Central Bohemia. The exhibition in the courtyard presents traditional crafts and the way of life on a rural farmstead. Every Sunday, homemade bread is baked there in the farmstead’s old oven.

Culture

The Roman Catholic Church of St Martin in Zbečno was built in the mid-14th century. After being damaged, the Gothic church was given Baroque façades and interiors during an extensive reconstruction in 1715. The parish is still active, and the church is used by the Roman Catholic Church for regular services. The Masaryk Bridge, dating from 1924–1925, also crosses the Berounka.

Nature

Zbečno lies in the Berounka Valley, in the Křivoklátská vrchovina region, and is part of the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. The Naučná stezka Brdatka is a 7 km-long educational hiking trail of medium difficulty. It includes 17 information panels covering the protected area, fauna, flora and forests, as well as the Gloriet viewing pavilion. One of the trail’s stations offers views of the Berounka Valley and the panorama of the wooded Křivoklátsko hills.

The Procházka přemyslovským hvozdem is a 7.5 km-long hike of medium difficulty from Křivoklát railway station to Zbečno railway station.

Water

The Vodácká naučná stezka Berounka has 14 stations with information panels about the Berounka River, the local nature, history and notable personalities. One designated station on this route is located at Kemp Riviéra in Zbečno.

Zbečno is located on the Beroun–Rakovník railway line and has train connections. A direct bus connects the village with the town of Kladno.
