Chotěšov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Chotěšov lies along a hiking trail marked in green that runs from Petrohrad through the village to Bílenec. Another signposted hike leads from Chotěšov to Vlčí hora and begins in the village square in Chotěšov.

Trails and Landscape

On the hike from Chotěšov to Vlčí hora, modest remains of prehistoric burial mounds can also be found in the vicinity of Rudolfova myslivna. This route therefore combines the trail itself with traces of early history.

History Along the Trail

The remains of Šprymberk Castle are best reached via a forest path that begins at the crossroads in front of the red barrier. Two deep ditches mark the site of Šprymberk Castle.

The Boží muka u Chotěšova are also among the distinctive cultural landmarks. They are a late Baroque example of the less common triangular wayside shrines; their ground plan probably refers, in the spirit of 18th-century Baroque mysticism, to the mystery of the Holy Trinity.

Transport Information

Due to the complete closure of road III/2243 in Petrohrad, most services on bus route 766 will be diverted from 15 June to 15 November 2026. During this period, they will not serve the “Jesenice, Chotěšov” stop; services 106 and 113 are exempt.
