Hřebečníky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Hřebečníky lies on the edge of the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. Historic landmarks in the village include the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, the château and other buildings. The Skryjsko-Týřovice Cambrian natural monument also extends into the municipality’s cadastral area. The Berounka in the area of Šlovice and Týřovice forms part of the municipality of Hřebečníky.
Nature and the Berounka
The Skryjsko-Týřovice Cambrian comprises palaeontological and geological sites with Cambrian fossil fauna in the Barrandian region. Thus, its natural significance extends from the landscape into the history of the Earth. A canoeing educational trail along the Berounka is also designated in Hřebečníky. A red-marked KČT hiking trail, the Svatojakubská cesta, or Way of St James, passes through the village.
Culture and Architectural History
One of the older landmarks in the village is the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, built in 1756. The oldest statue in Hřebečníky is a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk; it was erected opposite House No. 2 in 1757.
The present château was built in 1736 after the earlier fortress had been demolished. The château complex includes buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries alongside a château of Renaissance origin. Its components also include a large Baroque granary.
Another distinctive example of rural architecture is the Hřebečníky Rural House. This log house, designated a national cultural monument, dates from the late 18th or early 19th century and was moved from Vejvanov in the Rokycany District to Hřebečníky in 1992. The Hřebečníky Hunting Lodge is a small, rarely preserved log house with an approximately square floor plan. It probably dates from the 19th century and was likely used as shelter for hunters.
