Malinová reveals its landscape character along the Krakovský potok stream, which is one of the natural and landscape assets of the locality.
Nature and Trails
The Krakovský potok stream rises below a forest in the western part of the Malinová municipal area and flows south. The Rybník Malinová pond lies along it next to the road to Krakov. The Malinovský potok stream flows through the built-up area of Malinová, across the village green, and flows into the Krakovský potok to the west.
A red-marked hiking trail of the KČT is also designated in Malinová.
Roads and Transport
The road from Lubná via Malinová to Krakov is used by cars, pedestrians and cyclists. There is a designated bus stop in Malinová; approximately six bus connections per day are listed on weekdays.
Culture and Events
Children’s Day took place in Malinová in 2021, 2022 and 2023. In 2021, the summer farewell celebration “Rozloučení s létem” was held there, and in 2022, “Rozloučení s prázdninami”. In 2021 and 2022, there was a traditional “Myslivecké grilování” each year.
On 13 September 2025, a Nohejbal tournament announced as the 10th edition took place at the children’s playground in Malinová.
Surroundings
The immediate surroundings of Malinová include Ovčín [Krakovec u Rakovníka], Krakov and Senecká hora W [Senec u Rakovníka] – each a named hill. In the wider regional area are Loustín, a named mountain, as well as Týřov and Zřícenina Pravda, both named ruin sites. The U Svatého Petra Church is also located in the wider regional area of Malinová; the U Svatého Gotharda Church is located in the surroundings of Malinová.
