Nezabudice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Nezabudické skály Nature Reserve lies on a steep southern slope above the Berounka River. It protects rocky slopes with a highly diverse reptile population, including green lizards and smooth snakes.

Nature

Access to the Nezabudické skály Nature Reserve is restricted to marked hiking trails along its northern and southern boundaries; a road runs along the southern boundary.

Culture

The Church of St. Lawrence stands in a prominent position above the center of Nezabudice, on a low rise beside a former small cemetery. The single-nave building has a polygonal presbytery closed on three sides and a two-storey western tower. Its features and architectural history also include an original Gothic pointed-arch window, now bricked up, with coarse two-part stone tracery.

The Jaroslav Franěk Memorial Hall is dedicated to the legionnaire and resistance fighter Jaroslav Franěk, who was born in Nezabudice.

The Nezabudický Mill is a Baroque mill complex with a core dating from the 17th to 18th centuries, and is known from the stories of the writer Ota Pavel. U Rozvědčíka is also associated with Jaroslav Franěk; today it is a cult tourist excursion inn that the resistance fighter opened in 1934.

Routes and Crossings

Nezabudice has a red-marked KČT hiking trail known as the Way of St. James. The Ota Pavel ferry crosses the Berounka from Luh below Branov to Nezabudice.
