Nové Strašecí: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The marked educational trail in Nové Strašecí and Pecínov is approximately ten kilometres long and leads through the town and countryside along field and forest roads and paths. At nine stations, it presents the local history, natural features and sights. The Novostrašecko educational trail also has 17 information boards, starts at Nové Strašecí railway station and is signposted with cycling route markers.

Nature

A 36-metre-high observation tower stands on Mackova hora. Its observation platform, located 21 metres above the ground, is reached by 98 spiral staircase steps. From there, the view extends across Džbán Nature Park, the Křivoklátské forests and part of Nové Strašecí.

Culture and History

In Nové Strašecí, the Chapel of Saint Isidore was built in 1711 in honour of the patron saint of farmers. Above Pecínov lies the newer Jewish cemetery, which was established in the mid-19th century and has survived to this day without significant damage.

The Nové Strašecí Museum organises workshops.
