Vrdy can be discovered through its churches, nature and specific leisure destinations. Vrdy offers sacred architectural history, a protected natural monument, scenic destinations in the surrounding area and activities by the water.

Culture and history

In Dolní Bučice stands the Church of All Saints, a single-nave church made of rubble and ashlar stone and oriented towards the east. Its present-day Gothic presbytery dates from the mid-13th century. Also preserved are tombs of Jindřich Kobylka and members of his family dating from 1560 to 1581.

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Zbyslav was first mentioned as a parish church in 1352. Inside, Kramolín's figurative biblical scenes depicting Abraham and the angels, the Baptism of Christ and the Sending Forth of the Apostles have been preserved.

The historic building stock also includes the former water mill No. 30. The protected ensemble comprises a residential building, a mill building and the separately demarcated plots. In Dolní Bučice, the operation of the old Červený mlýn is gradually declining.
