Culture
The Church of the Archangel Michael in Soběšín is an early Gothic church complex and is one of the oldest and best-preserved small churches in the Kutná Hora District. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 3 May 1958. On the north wall of the nave is an oversized medieval fresco of Saint Christopher. The west window of the Baroque tower offers a view of the Sázava Valley.
In Otryby, the western part of the north side of the nave of the Church of Saint Gall contains an original Gothic portal. The church is located in the centre of the village; an enclosing wall surrounds the green area of a disused cemetery.
The Hrádek rock formation – hradecká skála is also listed as an immovable cultural monument within the municipality of Soběšín.
Landscape
The Sázava Valley in Soběšín is well preserved in terms of its landscape character. Forest areas, as well as scattered woody vegetation and green structures, predominate.
The Masaryk YMCA Camp was established on the Sázava near Soběšín in 1921. To this day, it retains the original arrangement of the tents and cabins.
Transport and routes
Soběšín railway station is located on railway line 212 between Čerčany and Světlá nad Sázavou. The Soběšín station building is not wheelchair accessible.
The Soběšín land-use plan takes into account the existing system of tourist-marked cycling routes and retains its current arrangement.
