Local History and Culture

The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk near the dam of Velký rybník in Voznice is registered as a cultural monument in the Central Register of Cultural Monuments. House No. 209 in Voznice is a single-storey log house that can be dated to the 18th century. Residential house No. 64 in Voznice dates from the 1930s and is an example of high-quality construction in the functionalist style.

Customs and Events

At Voznické čarodějnice, a maypole is traditionally erected; the event is open to adults and children. Voznické čarodějnice also includes grilling sausages and a community gathering for the neighborhood. The event offers a witches’ trail, face painting for children, and refreshments.

Voznický masopust includes a masked procession through the village with stops at houses, where dancing takes place and a blessing is given if requested there. During Voznický masopust, a carnival gathering is held at the local bistro, where traditional refreshments can be purchased. The municipality of Voznice invited people to the 3rd Voznický masopust.

Hiking and Nature

A green-marked hiking trail runs through the central part of Voznice. The yellow-marked hiking trail leads from Chouzavá via Voznice and Králova stolice to Stará Huť.

The 14 km hiking trail from Dobříš via Voznice to Stará Huť is considered suitable for older children, school groups, and seniors. In the vicinity of Voznice, this trail runs along the edge of the Andělské schody nature reserve and natural monument.
