Obory: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Obory stretches along the Jindrovský stream, a left-bank tributary of the Vltava. The southeastern edge of the Obory cadastral area forms part of the supraregional Vltava biocorridor.

Landscape and Trails

Marked hiking trails run through the Obory area; a trail junction is located at the intersection of roads I/18 and II/102. Marked cycling routes also pass through the area. For recreational and fitness cycling, existing paths and Class II and III roads, as well as the municipal road connecting Obory with Vápenice, can be used. A green-marked hiking trail also runs through Obory, connecting Příbram with the Vltava surroundings.

Culture and History

The only registered immovable cultural monument in the Obory area is a stone wayside shrine in the form of a milestone dating from 1727. The former Obory school building was constructed in 1894 and now houses the municipal office and library. The chapel with a bell tower in Obory dates from 1923. During the pilgrimage in Obory or another celebration, Mass is held in the chapel.

Transport

State road I/18 runs through Obory. Regular regional bus services with stops in Obory provide connections to Příbram, Sedlčany and Praha.
