Prosenicka Lhota: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Prosenická Lhota is shaped by ponds and combines a water-rich landscape with distinctive traces of the area's history. Together, the ponds cover more than 33 hectares; the largest of the ponds mentioned is Jelito, with an area of 12 hectares.
Nature and Landscape
New pools were created at Jelito Pond in 2025. The village is also home to the protected small-leaved lime tree “Lípa u studánky”, which is registered as a distinctive part of the local landscape. It bears witness to the existence of the village since at least the early 17th century.
Exploring Prosenická Lhota
A free puzzle walk through Prosenická Lhota can be downloaded and undertaken independently at any time. In addition, the municipality is developing the named footpath “Mezi motyly”. For cyclists, cycle route 8136 runs between Prosenická Lhota and Sedlčany.
History and Local Cultural Life
The municipal chronicle of Prosenická Lhota has been maintained since 1922. The local library has 2,500 of its own books; it also receives an exchange collection of 50 books every six months.
The village's cultural character also includes the amateur theatre group Zvonokaplička from Prosenická Lhota, which is dedicated exclusively to the works of Jára Cimrman.
Events
The Lhotecký pětiboj is a traditional local event. The 2025 edition was the 27th and included unusual disciplines.
