Velká Lečice is located in the Benešov Uplands, or Benešovská pahorkatina. The Kocába River flows through Velká Lečice, contributing to the picturesque character of the surrounding landscape. The highest point in the area reaches 395 metres above sea level.

History and Trails

Gold mining in the vicinity of Velká Lečice has been documented in writing since the 11th century. The niche chapel in Velká Lečice was probably built at the end of the 18th century. It stands at a road junction on the northeastern edge of the village.

A hike in Velká Lečice can begin at the chapel and the tourist signpost. The starting point is accessible by bus, and a car can be parked there.
