Dobris: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The present appearance of Dobříš Castle was created during its reconstruction from 1745 to 1765, after an earlier fire had almost destroyed the building. The exhibition of the Colloredo-Mannsfeld family is located on the first floor of the south wing. It combines rooms furnished in a contemporary style, as they presumably looked in the 17th and 18th centuries, with modernly designed areas featuring large touchscreens and projections. The interactive tour offers an audio guide for your own phone or the free loan of an MP4 device at the entrance to the exhibition.

Culture and history

The French Park covers 2 hectares and is a rare example of Rococo garden architecture. Dobříš Castle's Oranžérie houses interactive exhibitions for the whole family, the gallery of Zdeněk and Emilie Miler, and an exhibition about the castle's gardens.

The Museum of the Town of Dobříš is located in the late Baroque Kopáčkův dům, whose history dates back to the 15th century. “Exponáty v ulicích” is an interactive outdoor game by the Museum of the Town of Dobříš; QR codes are located at the individual stations. The route is approximately 2.5 km long and can be completed on foot in about 40 minutes. Additional time is needed to solve the puzzles and search for the QR codes.

Town and nature

The Dobříšská stezka poznání – Dobříšova stezka was opened on April 1, 2025, and includes information panels about animals, birds, plants, and trees. The Small Circuit (Malý okruh) leads through the center of Dobříš and has 21 stations where visitors can learn interesting facts about the town's historical sites.

The Forest Trail leaves the built-up area, leads into nature, and presents exceptional natural and cultural-historical sites around Dobříš at 15 stations. The second town tour leaves the center of Dobříš and leads into quieter parts of the town; at 18 stations, it provides information about Dobříš's industry and the surrounding nature.
