Hluboš: Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Hluboš castle grounds and the Church of the Holy Trinity provide the town with two distinctive historical landmarks. At the same time, several mountains and other cultural attractions lie in the surrounding area, while the administrative area is served by regularly operating regional buses.
Castle and Sacred Sites
The Hluboš castle grounds comprise the main building, a castle wing, the castle park, a steward’s building and a chapel. Hluboš Castle is a Baroque building that was remodelled in the Neo-Renaissance style and served President T. G. Masaryk as a summer residence in 1920 and 1921. Through Hluboš Park, some trees from America and China were introduced to the country for the first time.
The Church of the Holy Trinity contains biblical scenes by Kramolín depicting Abraham and the angels, the Baptism of Christ and the sending out of the Apostles. The Holy Trinity Column in Hluboš bears reliefs of Christ enthroned with a cross, God the Father holding a globe and the dove as a symbol of the Holy Spirit. The church was originally built in Baroque form at the end of the 17th century and was remodelled in the Neo-Gothic-Romanesque style in 1877.
The Church of the Holy Trinity stands prominently on a hill above the Litavka Valley. It is visible from the summit of Plešivec and from Svatá Hora near Příbram.
