Volenice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Volenice was already part of the Březnice estate in 1506. In 1911, almost the entire village burned down.
History and Culture
Březnice State Chateau is a national cultural monument. The exhibitions in the chateau cover the history of individual noble families and art periods from the Renaissance to the 19th century.
During a comprehensive renovation of St. Wenceslas Church in Bubovice in 1907, old interior paintings were discovered. There is a Gothic portal on its exterior wall, and five tombstones are set into its walls.
St. Barbara's Church in Pročevily developed from an original chapel to which ambits were later added.
The Březnice brewery building is a Baroque cultural monument. Beer has been brewed at the Březnice brewery since 1506. All three settlements in the municipality of Volenice contain valuable examples of folk architecture.
Landscape
A walk around Miroslav Pond is recommended. Štěrbina is a mountain in the vicinity of Volenice. The mountains of Vinice, Nad Moráskem and Praha are also located in the surrounding area of Volenice.
Geographical Location
In the wider regional surroundings of Volenice lies the historical site “Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia”. Hrad Zvíkov, a castle, is also located there. Zřícenina Valdek and Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast are likewise situated in this wider regional area; both are ruins.
