On a hill between Milín and its settlement of Slivice, the Victory Monument stands within the municipality of Milín. It commemorates the last battle of the Second World War on the European continent and the final defeat of Hitler’s German army. The monument is dominated by two pylons made of light Liberec granite, standing 10.5 and 11 metres high respectively. Memorial ceremonies and re-enactments of the battle take place at the Victory Monument every year.

After being damaged in an air raid in 1945, it was repaired between 1946 and 1948. On 27 September 1890, it was consecrated by the Metropolitan Canon Dr František Krásl.
