Daleké Dušníky is historically characterised by a village green settlement; large agricultural farmsteads in a characteristic rural layout stand in the village centre.

History

Daleké Dušníky is first mentioned in 1357 in a document issued by the Bohemian king and Emperor Charles IV, by which he founded the Collegiate Chapter of Karlštejn. The Chapel of the Holy Trinity dates from 1874.

Nature

A red-marked hiking trail runs through Daleké Dušníky. The surrounding area is also suitable for hiking. To the east of the village stretches a densely forested hilly landscape, which is particularly popular with passionate mushroom pickers.

Traditions

On Maundy Thursday, Daleké Dušníky maintains the old Easter rattling tradition: rattles replace the bells, and participants walk together through the village. In good weather, people meet for the Easter rattling at the fire station and grill their own sausages there.

A maypole is erected at the chapel every year. A small fire with a witch figure is then lit, after which people sit together around the fire. Organising a carnival parade is also part of local community life.

Water and landscape

In the northern part of Daleké Dušníky stands an old lime tree, regarded as the oldest tree in the municipality; a cross and a stone terrace are located beside it. The pond near Holobrády lies within sight of the old lime tree in the north of Daleké Dušníky. The fire pond in the direction of Nečín is used as a swimming spot in summer.
