Nature and Trails
The “Vrančická draha” educational trail is designed as a circular walking route and connects rest areas with information features about the nature and landscape surrounding Vrančice. Its surroundings include wet meadows, pastures and a water biotope with ponds.
Another educational trail leads from Milín to Vrančice and is located at the 608-metre-high summit of Vraneč. There, six stations with nature-related interactive elements await you. The Milín–Vrančice educational trail offers families with children opportunities to explore nature and enjoy entertaining activities.
Culture and History
In the centre of Vrančice’s irregularly laid-out village green, the Chapel of Our Lady stands between two old lime trees. The protected site comprises the chapel and the associated plot of land. The small rectangular building has a roof turret and dates from the first half of the 19th century.
The historical features in the village also include the Boží muka, a granite wayside shrine with the year 1781 on its pedestal. It stands approximately 3 metres southwest of the entrance façade of the Chapel of Our Lady. The upper niche chapel has recessed panels with a shallow relief of a Latin cross.
