Kosova Hora: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kosova Hora displays its history particularly clearly at the castle: it includes a tower from a former fortress, which was first mentioned in 1416. In the second half of the 16th century, the castle was rebuilt in the Renaissance style; Gothic masonry has been preserved in the central part of the current building.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint Bartholomew in Kosova Hora is a single-nave church that originally dates from the 14th century and is of Romanesque-Gothic origin. The Kosova Hora Synagogue was built around 1630 in the Baroque style. Occasional exhibitions, chamber concerts, lectures and other cultural events take place there.

Getting Around

Kosova Hora railway station is located on line 223 between Benešov u Prahy and Sedlčany. Long-distance cycle route No. 11, which connects Prague, Tábor, Jindřichův Hradec, Vranov, Valtice and Vienna, also passes through Kosova Hora.
