Ohrazenice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The “Z Jinec přes Ohrazenici na Sýkorky” cycling route runs through Ohrazenice and connects with the “Z Jinec na Olymp Brd” educational trail. For much of the route, it offers beautiful views of the Litavka Valley.

Nature

In the cadastral area of Ohrazenice v Brdech, the Koníček Nature Reserve includes protected plots of land. It protects preserved gorge forests and beech forests, as well as shale outcrops with fossil fauna.

Trails

The “Z Jinec přes Ohrazenici na Sýkorky” route leads to the Ohrazenický (Pstruhový) stream in the Na Luhu valley. In the vicinity west of Ohrazenice lies Sýkorky, a meadow clearing and trail junction at an altitude of 536 m. The meadow clearing contains artillery positions; the pools at Sýkorky are home to the summer fairy shrimp.

History and Village Life

The nearby town of Jince lies on the edge of the Brdy Protected Landscape Area. Iron ore was already being mined and processed there by 1390 at the latest; the first blast furnace dates back to 1646.

On 10 May 2025, the traditional “Staročeské máje” celebrations with “staročeská beseda” were opened in Ohrazenice in front of the U Pstruha restaurant. A procession accompanied by the Míla Kadlec Brass Band then made its way through the village.
