Drásov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Drásov is located in the Central Bohemian Region, near the former mining town of Příbram and about 50 km south of Prague. The first written record of the village dates back to 1057.

Landscape

Several ponds lie within the cadastral area of Drásov, through which the Kocába stream flows. Chlum Hill is the highest point in Drásov. The Velký Chlum and Velká Leč mountains are located nearby; the Hradec and Velká Třemošná mountains are also in the surrounding area.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint Anne is located in the vicinity of Drásov. In the wider regional surroundings of Drásov, Příbram is home to Svatá Hora, a national cultural monument and a European Marian pilgrimage site. The same wider regional area around Drásov also contains the Valdek Castle ruins, the historical site of Lety u Písku, the Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia, and Karlštejn Castle.

Prostřední mlýn is a watermill in Drásov for which a first written record of the waterworks has been documented. It is privately owned and not accessible.

In the area around Drásov, the Příbram Mining Museum offers rides on a mine railway above ground and underground at the Březové Hory open-air museum, guided tours of underground routes, and mineralogical exhibitions.

On Site

The Drásov sports complex has a children’s playground and a wooden gazebo with an outdoor dance floor. The municipal administration and local associations hold various cultural events at the sports complex, including dances.
