Malá Hrastice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The chapel is the dominant building on the village square of Malá Hraštice. Services are held there several times a year; it was probably built in the first half of the 19th century. The Church of Saint Zikmund in Velká Hraštice also has a historically documented connection: a parish is documented there as early as 1360. Mass is held there on the first Saturday of every month. There is also a confectionery with a bakery and a restaurant near the chapel.

Cycling

The unmarked cycling tour “Za svatým Václavem” begins and ends directly in Malá Hraštice. It is 19 kilometres long, includes 357 metres of elevation gain and leads along smaller forest paths. The route is suitable for mountain bikes and is described as not particularly challenging.

Hiking and history

A green-marked hiking trail from Voznice towards Nový Knín runs through the cadastral area of the municipality of Malá Hraštice. A section of the “Nový Knín a okolí” educational trail also runs along the eastern edge of the cadastral area. Ten information boards along this educational trail present the history of gold mining in the surrounding area, which was already carried out around the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. The educational trail’s circular route passes several adits and runs through the valley of the Kocába River.

Transport connections

Bus route 488 runs through Malá Hraštice towards Mníšek pod Brdy and in the opposite direction to Nový Knín. From Mníšek pod Brdy, there are connecting services to Prague.
