Obecnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
At the Klobouček forest educational trail, twelve stations provide information about the Brdy Mountains, forestry, the composition of tree species in the area, plant life, wildlife, hunting, and water retention in the landscape. The educational trail begins and ends at the visitor car park by the football pitch in Obecnice.
Landscape and Educational Trails
Part of the Obecnice municipal area lies within the Brdy Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Brdy), established on 1 January 2016. The designated protected features include valuable forest stands, meadows, wetlands, heathlands, and numerous streams.
The Fabiánova stezka educational trail also runs through Obecnice. It introduces tourists and cyclists to local sights and excursion destinations in the Podbrdsko region. The GEOFUN virtual educational trail is located in the vicinity of Obecnice. Cycle route 8198, which is 9.5 kilometres long, connects Láz and Obecnice.
In 2023, a free augmented-reality app was used on a pilot basis on the Klobouček educational trail. At selected points in the forest, it displayed a red deer, a fox, or a tawny owl.
Water and Sport
Koupaliště Obecnice is a 50 × 20-metre concrete pool fed by the Obecnický stream, with a gently sloping bottom for swimmers and non-swimmers. The grounds include a well-maintained lawn, privacy screens for changing, toilets for up to 200 people, refreshments, and a children’s play area with a small pool. In addition, Koupaliště offers an outdoor swimming pool, tennis, volleyball, and football tennis.
Church and Local History
The Church of Saints Simon and Jude is Obecnice’s most important landmark and dates from 1807. Its tower was built in 1825; two side chapels were added in 1854.
The interior furnishings include a valuable Classicist pulpit from the late 18th century and Empire-style doors in the west portal.
