Trails through the landscape

The educational trail “Z Jinec na Olymp Brd” begins at Jince railway station, is 17.3 kilometres long and has 16 information panels. The “Za jineckými trilobity” route begins at the green-marked hiking trail at the U mostu crossroads in Jince. The “Plešivecká Odyssea” route also begins at the U mostu crossroads, this time in the centre of Jince.

Culture and history

Josef Slavík was born in Jince in house no. 8. The Společenské centrum in Jince organises the annual “Slavíkovy Jince” concert in memory of Josef Slavík.

The Church of St Nicholas in Jince is protected as a cultural monument and is documented as early as 1352. The parish Church of St Nicholas in Jince is accessible to people with disabilities. The Huť Barbora in Jince is also a cultural monument and the last surviving charcoal-fired Valon furnace; guided tours with commentary are offered there.

Jince Biotope

The Jince Biotope is a natural swimming area with a natural water purification system. The grounds include a well-maintained lawn and a volleyball court.

Arriving by train

Jince railway station is located on line 200 between Beroun and Protivín. The line continues towards Prague and České Budějovice.
