Radim Chateau was built in 1610 and, in its preserved condition, is one of the most vivid examples of a rural Renaissance residence of the lesser nobility.

Culture and History

Three main guided tours are offered at Radim Chateau, including a special tour for children. The chateau garden at Radim Chateau is open to visitors free of charge during the chateau’s opening hours.

The Chapel of the Most Holy Redeemer is a Neo-Gothic chapel that was built in 1891–1892 and consecrated in 1893. It is located in the park on the village square in front of the school. Next to the entrance stands a sandstone statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. Advent concerts for the residents of Radim are regularly held in the chapel.

Other historical traces include the old Slavic hillfort site of Na Šancích, located in Radím, and the Baroque stone bridge in Radím, which was reconstructed after the floods of 2013.

Nature

Lom u Radimi preserves evidence of the wave action of a Cretaceous sea, as well as numerous fossils of marine organisms. The Lom u Radimi natural monument was designated to protect an important palaeontological site. At Lom u Radimi, visitors can use a covered seating area, a bicycle rack and a litter bin.

A plant community is protected at Stráň u Chroustova.
