Chotutice is home to a chapel known as the Chapel of the Virgin Mary: it was originally built in 1805 as a Neoclassical chapel of unknown dedication, and was later remodelled in the Art Nouveau style in 1909 according to plans by engineer Josef Koněrze.
Culture and History
A Roman silver coin dating from 251–253 AD was found north of Chotutice, in the Ve Slínech area.
In Chotutice, a lime-tree avenue leads to a cross. The cross in Chotutice was restored in 2022 at the municipality’s expense.
Nature and Trails
The Lom u Radimi natural monument is located in the vicinity of Chotutice, between the south-western edge of Radim and the Chotutice railway stop on the left bank of the Výrovka. It protects an example of the Upper Cretaceous shoreface facies and can be accessed via a branch of the green Pečky–Kouřim hiking trail or by following the signposts for the Cestou za trilobity educational trail.
Local Character
A park surrounds the war memorial in Chotutice. It stands in the centre of the village at the intersection of Průběžná and Viselecká streets.
Transport and Events
Chotutice railway station is located on line 012, on the Pečky–Bečváry and Bošice–Kouřim routes.
The Bramboračka Cup is an annual football tournament in Chotutice. The 2026 Bramboračka Cup will take place at Malá Kopaná in Chotutice.
