Jestřabí Lhota: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the centre of Jestřabí Lhota, the stone cross is one of three monuments on the village square.

Culture

The stone cross was erected in 1880 with money collected from local Catholics.

The stone bell tower in Jestřabí Lhota was erected in 1894 and received a new bell in 1946. The bell tower was one of the three village monuments in Jestřabí Lhota restored in 2004 with support from a TPCA grant.

The monument to those who fell in the First World War was erected in 1920 by the stonemason Josef Čermák from Městec Králové.

Traditions

The Staročeské Máje celebrations are a long-standing local tradition in Jestřabí Lhota. According to eyewitness accounts, people in Jestřabí Lhota began dancing the Česká beseda at the end of the 1950s.

The Bačovka stream flows through the cadastral area of Jestřabí Lhota. Nearby are Hořánck Mountain and Libichovy Hill near Ohaře. Kačina Chateau is located in the vicinity of Jestřabí Lhota. In the wider surrounding region are the Church of St. George, Kamenec Mountain, and U Borku Mountain near Záhornice u Městce Králové.
