Křesetice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Křesetice is home to Kostel sv. Markéty, a Gothic church dating from the 14th century. It is considered the oldest building in Křesetice and stands on a hill above the town.

Culture and history

Several Baroque sandstone statues provide distinctive landmarks: “socha sv. Barbory” dates from 1720 and stands behind the town near the sports field. “socha sv. Šebestiána” dates from the first half of the 18th century and is located in the town centre near house no. 140. The Baroque sandstone statue “socha sv. Václava” dates from 1750 and stands on the road to Úmonín.

The protected complex of Kostel sv. Markéty comprises the church, a crypt, a mortuary, a perimeter wall with a gate, and an access staircase. The crypts of the owners of the Křesetice estate are located beneath the floor of Kostel sv. Markéty. The protected monument Zámek čp. 1 comprises a former fortress and a perimeter wall.

Zámek Kačina is located in the vicinity of Křesetice and is a castle.

Křesetice lies in the gently hilly terrain of the Kutná Hora Upland; the terrain generally rises towards the south to southwest.
