Krchleby: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Krchleby is located 4 km west of Čáslav on the old road to Tábor.

Culture and History

Northeast of Krchleby, at the intersection of the Krchleby–Čáslav and Močovice–Žáky roads, stands the Chapel of the Virgin Mary. The small sacred building is Neoclassical in style and dates from the first half of the 19th century. The Church of St. Wenceslas is an example of rural sacred architecture of early Gothic origin and is first mentioned in 1352. The statue of St. John of Nepomuk dates from 1752.

Nature and Trails

About 2 km south of Krchleby lies Krchlebská Dubina on the edge of the forest along the Jánský potok stream. From the path from Krchleby to Krchlebská Dubina, you can turn into the wooded valley of the Jánský potok. In the first third of this path, a statue of St. Francis of Paola stands on a small rise. The sandstone sculpture dates from 1703 and is evidence of a high level of Baroque art.
